Following a bone marrow transplant, it’s not unusual for the blood that is produced by the recipient to contain the donors DNA!

This has led to real life crime scene confusion, where the apparent perpetrator has a cast iron alibi because they really weren’t there – just DNA from ‘their’ blood, produced in someone else’s body!
